How factoring fits your cycle

Invoice the post, get an advance, then the rest when the client pays.

You invoice your client as usual. The factoring partner advances up to 90% of the invoice. When your client pays, you receive the rest, minus the factor's fee.

  • Fund as you bill. Guard payroll stops waiting on the client's payment run.
  • Staff the new contract without waiting for the first payment.
  • Factors look mainly at your clients' credit, not yours.
Week 1Guards start on a new post. Payroll goes out every week.
Week 2You invoice the client on net 45. The factor advances up to 90%.
Week 8The client pays. You receive the balance, minus the fee.

Illustrative timeline, not an offer. Your funding partner sets the actual advance, fee and timing.

FAQ

Questions security company owners ask us

Can I factor invoices to government agencies?

Often, yes. Many factors fund invoices to federal, state and local agencies. Federal contracts usually need an assignment of claims so payments go to the factor; the factor handles that paperwork with you.

Will my clients know I use factoring?

Usually, yes. With most programs your clients get a notice to pay the factor directly. Some partners offer quieter arrangements; we tell you which ones before you choose an offer.

Do you need my credit score?

Factors look mainly at your clients' credit. Payroll taxes need to be current or on an IRS payment plan.
